SELF CATERING COTTAGES

The Western Lakes
From the north Gosforth is the gateway to Wasdale and Eskdale, the former with its beautiful quiet lake and breathtaking views of Great Gable and Scafell.

The sea is about two miles from Gosforth and at low tide there are clean beaches with expanses of sand on which to play and walk.

Potters Barn is ideally situated for walkers, with the whole of the quieter western valleys close by and the great central fells in Wasdale and Eskdale. My husband, who knows the area well, is happy to discuss plans for walking.

The area around Gosforth also has a good range of eating places for anyone who does not want to cook while on holiday, and bread and milk can be ordered for your arrival by arrangement.

The pottery is a National Park Information Point and if you are staying here we can supply you with details of places to visit in the immediate location or the Lake District as a whole . If you would like these before you arrive please get in touch with us.
